Rihanna can’t seem to stop buying up real estate in Beverly Hills. After purchasing a $13.8 million mansion in one of the exclusive, gated communities in the neighborhood three months ago, the pop star has now also scooped up the house next door for an additional $10 million.
The singer’s latest acquisition was never publicly listed, but, according to tax records obtained by The Hollywood Reporter, the home was originally built in the late 1930s and was last sold in 2015 for $5.1 million. The Tudor-style home situated on a half-acre of land has over 3,500 square feet of living space, including four bedrooms, four-and-a-half baths, formal living and dining rooms, an eat-in kitchen, and a family room that opens up into a large backyard with an oversized swimming pool set below a terraced lawn.
Of course, that property is right next door to an even more lavish mansion Rihanna just bought three months ago in the star-studded Beverly Hills cul-de-sac where fellow A-list musicians like Sir Paul McCartney, Mariah Carey, and Madonna have all lived in recent years. This home was also built in the 1930s and was formerly owned by Mary Sheldon, the daughter of I Dream of Jeannie creator Sidney Sheldon. The 7,600-square-foot mansion was then purchased for $4.3 million in 2016 by investor Daniel Starr who demolished and rebuilt almost every aspect of the home before listing it again in 2020 for $15 million, and then ultimately selling to Rihanna for $13.8 million. A giant black bull sculpture greets guests at the entrance of the modern farmhouse mansion that features a central open-air courtyard with an al fresco terrace, pool, spa, and fire pit. The master bedroom also offers uninterrupted views of Coldwater Canyon and the surrounding half-acre property.
But the $23.8 million Beverly Hills compound the pop star is in the process of building is hardly Rihanna’s only real estate holding. She also owns a $6.8 million Hollywood Hills villa, a $5.5 million penthouse in Century City’s exclusive “The Century” skyscraper, a high-floor flat in L.A.’s Wilshire Corridor, and another mansion in her native Barbados.
